Hi, I’m MoJo! I’m a classy older gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life: soaking up rays in the window, luxurious day-long naps on the bed, and following my beloved foster dad around, waiting for him to sit down so I can settle in on his lap for hours of cuddle time!
I’m not a fan of cats or dogs, so I need to be your one and only sidekick, but I promise I have MORE than enough love and affection to give you! My people say that I have the sweetest face, and the softest meows for such a big boy. I have that laid back Maine Coon demeanor that you just can’t resist!
You’re probably wondering how such a dapper gentleman as myself came to be without a home. Well, I’m not quite sure how I ended up outside, but this nice lady in my foster parents’ rescue community was contacted when someone found me going from apartment to apartment, crying to be let in. My people promise I never have to worry about being alone and scared outside again, and boy am I glad to hear that!
I love both wet and dry food. I could kinda take or leave the toys and treats; my one “must have” is a comfy, soft lap to cuddle up in, so I can know that I’m home safe at long last! If you need a little MoJo in your life, let’s meet!

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.
Sometimes we require rental checks or home inspections. We always have a Meet n Greet to make sure everyone gets along. We encourage bringing the whole family!

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
