My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Odis was brought in by his previous owner on April 6, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Odis! With a heart full of playfulness and a zest for life, Odis is ready to find a new home. His enthusiasm for outdoor activities makes him an ideal companion for those who lead an active lifestyle and enjoy adventures. Odis is more than ready to embark on hikes, long walks, and games of fetch with you. He is one smart pup that is looking forward to an owner that can help him live up to his potential through positive reinforcement training and proper enrichment. It may take a little pit of patience for Odis to feel comfortable around new people, so slow introductions are a must. He has also displayed some reactivity to other dogs, so it is important to avoid off leash adventures. Due to this, he is looking for a home without other furry friends, or children under the age of 8. Want to know more about this stunning guy? Come and ask an adoption counselor today and don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
