My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- Good with cats - Good with Kids
- Good with strangers - LOVES the water

Bennie is a happy-go-lucky dog with a ton of energy to burn. He thrives on adventure and is seeking a home with equal energy levels where he can explore and play to his heart's content. Despite his exuberance, Bennie is incredibly friendly and loves everyone he meets. He has a puppy-like enthusiasm, despite his size, and is eager to learn and please.

- Bennie's energy levels make him an ideal companion for an active household that enjoys outdoor activities and regular exercise.

- Bennie also loves water! He snorkels in his water bowl, and would really enjoy trips to the lake.

- Bennie's friendly disposition makes him good with meeting new people, although he may benefit from continued socialization to build confidence.

- As a young dog, Bennie is still learning basic obedience skills. However, he is highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding and enjoyable experience

- Bennie's forever family should be prepared to provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy and fulfilled.

If you're ready to embark on exciting adventures with Bennie and help him reach his full potential, please consider opening your heart and home to this lovable pup!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
