My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Singee! Singee is a sweet dog looking for a fresh start to life with his forever family. He has had a hard start to life, which has caused Singee to be shy when he first meets new people but after spending time with him it does not take long for him to warm up to trusted people. Singee loves a tasty snack and enjoys bonding with people over his favourite foods.

Singee is looking for a home that will show him the good that this world has to offer and be patient with him as he continues to learn how to be the best dog that he can be. He is still learning new skills and improving on what he is trying to learn such as leash training. Singee's love for snacks helps with guiding him on his learning and we have no doubt that he will flourish as he continues to feel safe.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
