My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To meet William, please email woof@thehausofdogs.com

William was tied to a tree at a local park and brought in by animal control. William has been in a home because he is well cared for and already neutered. William gets excited to go out in the park and does pull on his leash to get to all the cool smells. He keeps a clean kennel and would love a yard to call his own.

William went to the SunDome for the March Muttness event and did amazing! He was quiet for the whole event and walked with both the staff and the public. William had no issue being petted or approached by the crowd while kenneled and loved getting treats. He spend most the night looking around and stoically watching all the action.

More about this rescue

We opened in December 2019 as a dog cafe. 3 months later we had to shut down due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but are solely doing adoptions. We hope to reopen the cafe sometime in the future. Our CEO has 3 dogs that she adopted from a shelter. Her experience at a high-kill shelter inspired her to start a halfway home for dogs while searching for their forever home. Our dogs spend a considerable amount of time playing with one another, thanks to proper introduction and close supervision during playtime. We only take in a small number of dogs to ensure each one gets plenty of one-on-one time with us. This also allows us to work with more fearful/shy/reactive dogs and adopt them out once they’re ready.
