My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sir Ace is 2-1/2yo, weighs 115lbs, is intact, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Sir Ace has been in training since he was 4 months old and 2 lessons are remaining on the contract, so his guardian will transfer those sessions to new guardians and was discussed with and agreed to by the trainer.  Sir Ace is kept in his crated during the day while his guardian works and sleeps on his bed and the floor or rug at night.  He dislikes trash trucks and he does well in the car.

Sir Ace's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  He lives with his guardian in a 2-bedroom apartment and he needs room to run.

Sir Ace's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  He had a hot spot on his neck about 2 years ago, but was treated and resolved.  Also, he had a respiratory virus in December 2023 which was also treated and resolved.

Sir Ace's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Sir Ace hasn't lived with children, his guardian recommends his living with children stating "Excited but usually doesn't pay any attention to them if preoccupied".

Sir Ace's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Sir Ace hasn't lived with dogs, his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "Playful and is around my daughter's dog and friend's dog".

Sir Ace's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Sir Ace hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats.

Sir Ace's guardian describes him as:

Very active
Quiet
Playful
Independent
Protective
Always at your side
Indoor dog
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes men
Likes women
Separation anxiety

Sir Ace's guardian describes his ideal future home:  Sir Ace's guardian is primarily concerned with, in addition to finding a loving home, his getting the exercise he needs.  If the prospective adopter has a fence, Sir Ace could run around in the yard but a fence is not required just so he gets outside and gets the exercise he needs and loves.  Also, she would love to see him with a companion dog, but that also is not a requirement.

Rehoming Fee:  $100, negotiable; Sir Ace's guardian is primarily interested in recouping the costs of the training sessions and his new XL crate, which is still in the box.

Location:  Newark, DE (Guardian will transport Sir Ace for the meet and greet, home visit, and to take him to his new family/home.)
