My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- Sweet and playful dog who LOVES snuggles

- Recently got to spend a day outside of the shelter, where he was treated to lots of walks, treats, cuddling and even a pup cup!

- Human companion on his day out said he was very well-behaved and loved getting attention from the people around him; he was "an absolute sweetheart"

- Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

- Tends to avoid other dogs (dog intro recommended)

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
