My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Dustin is a bit timid at first until he knows his person. Once he gets some pets, he rolls over for belly rubs and lots of chin scratches. He loves to throw his toys around and chase them all over. He likes wands toys and the red pointer light to chase. He is very quiet and doesn't meow much at all.

He loves to look out the windows and run all over the house. He wants a kitty friend to play with. The older cats play a bit, but he needs one close to his age.

He loves his canned food and that is a good motivator to get him to love his person. Food equals love and good things. He is perfect with his litterbox habits.

He was probably an abandoned kitten and was found in York. A kind lady fed him and some others that showed up at her place. Another group made sure the kitties were all spayed and neutered. They didn't realize how nice some of the kitties were and the lady was moving away, so they went back to catch the nicer ones. Dustin is glad to be safe inside.

This cat tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Apply for Dustin at www.castawaycritters.org/adopt

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
