My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Phil is a 38 lb, 6 year old handsome boy.

Phil is a sweetie who is a big baby around his people. He is shy and skiddish of new people and new places, so needs people to move slowly with him until he feels confident.
Phil was very under socialized when we first got him, and while he's much better, he still needs someone patient who can help with his socialization. He needs a confident leader, so he doesn't feel like he needs to be the protector of you.

He would do best in a quiet, calm home, as new people in the home spook him.

He seems to do well around other dogs. We think a home without kids would be best for him, as quick movements can startle him.

Phil is a big softie once he trusts you, and loves to cuddle and be around you. He is house trained.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

There is an application process, and a tax deductible donation fee, which includes all up-to-date vaccinations and the dog's spay or neuter. We may opt to do a homecheck, but will discuss during the adoption finalization.

We also require a one week "trial period" with the dog to make sure that you and the dog get along well. After the one week period, we will either move forward with the adoption if the adopter so chooses, or the potential adopter can return the dog to Pacific Pups Rescue without penalty.

Adoption application
