Lucky came to rescue when his former owner's living situation changed and they were not allowed to keep their dogs. Lucky is slowly but surely warming up to his new environment, and is hoping to get lucky enough to find a new home soon. Lucky is a friendly little guy who looks a bit older than his six years (it's that handsome gray muzzle!). He enjoys the companionship of people, as well as other dogs. Lucky is a well-behaved boy who was reportedly potty trained in his previous home. He walks well on leash and knows "sit" for a treat. Lucky enjoys lap time and is a relaxed guy overall. He previously lived in an apartment, so if you've been looking for a small dog (10 pounds) that is used to apartment dwelling, look no further! Need a little more luck in your life? Come meet LUCKY! Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
