My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Java is approximately 10 - 11-months-old.  He is a beautiful bi-color make.  This lovebug is housetrained and crate trained.  He is all about playtime and more playtime. He loves to run and play with his foster brother and sister, both German Shepherds.  His big sister lets him know she is in charge and he respects that.  Did we say spoiled?  Oh yes..rotten!  He was feeling a bit under the weather at one point and his foster family let eat while laying on the couch.  I'm sure that made him feel much better too. He is true to his German Shepherd traits as he like to be a mouthy and pushy when he wants something.  Of course, he is very obedient and follows directions when told to do something.  :)  He loves people and other dogs without a doubt.

More about this rescue

Lani’s Lucky Shepherds volunteers are dedicated to saving as many German Shepherds in the Greater Houston Metro area as humanly possible - based on current resources of available foster homes, the rate at which we can find suitably matched adoptive homes, and of course, financial resources for veterinary care.

Lani’s Shepherds mostly come from animal shelters where they are awaiting euthanasia. All of these Shepherd Dogs need loving, forever homes and families to call their own. We have several GSDs available for adoption and we regularly take in more Shepherds under our wings and into our Rescue Program, increasing the numbers of dogs available for adoption. Whenever we can, we also work with other dog rescue groups in Texas and nationwide to help ensure the safety and security of these wonderful animals.
