My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**adoption pending**

Well, look at this cute little nugget! Polar is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 26 pounds.

Polar is very sweet, but can be a little insecure and shy when first meeting new people. Once she warms up to you, she is super connecting. Polar also comes out of her shell when you bring out toys, she becomes very open and playful. Maybe she can have a little basket of them in her new home, she especially loves tennis balls and the Kong Wubba. Polar scares easily as well, and will retreat under the table when she is feeling overwhelmed. She looks to you for guidance and enjoys checking in often. She needs an experienced adopter who has the time and patience to build trust and she needs a leader to rely on for guidance. Polar has a lot of love to give and promises to be a loyal companion. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old and a fenced in yard to keep her safe, we are worried she is a flight risk with her scared nature. Polar can’t wait for a family to love her and make her feel safe.

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Polar would love to meet them. She has an apprehensive approach with other dogs but likes to keep to trying. She wants to engage, she is just not really sure how to just yet. Polar eventually did a playbow with one of her meets, so that was cute!

If you are interested in Polar and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
