My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! I'm Wilma, the enchanting Great Dane with an old, wise name for such a young, playful pup like me. Born on 9/15/23, I'm currently 7 months old and tipping the scales at 70 lbs.

My journey hasn't been conventional; I found myself in search of a new family, not because of anything I did, but because my human mom rescued me from a less-than-ideal situation. Despite not seeking any new pups, she opened her heart to me and my brother, providing us with safety, nourishment, and affection. Her love for us led her to find a forever home where we could flourish, and here I am, eagerly awaiting my happily ever after!

I've already mastered the art of crate training and housebreaking – go me! I'm a social butterfly who adores humans of all sizes, showering them with kisses and attention. Playing with other dogs brings me immense joy, and while I can be submissive when needed, I also possess a spirited, confident personality. Give me some toys and bones, and I'll be entertained for hours, whether solo or with my furry friends. Plus, I make an excellent walking buddy!

While I haven't had much formal training yet, I'm ready to embark on that journey with my new family. Together, we'll ensure that I grow into the most well-behaved princess in the kingdom! Although my friends don't think I'll become super large, I have a feeling I'll come close to 100 lbs once I've finished growing. So, if you're ready for a loyal companion who will grow alongside you, I might just be the perfect match for your castle!

Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Wilma is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet her will be set up for approved adopters only.
