My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a gentle giant to join your family? Look no further than Ferah, our magnificent 2-year-old, 160 lb Boz Shepherd with a heart as big as her size! Ferah is a happy gal that adores everyone she meets, from children to other dogs. She has a love for running and exploring, and would make an excellent running companion or adventure buddy. Ferah is always up for a challenge and ready to embark on new adventures with her favorite humans by her side. While Ferah is potty trained and well-behaved, she does have one quirk—she has a tendency to chase cats. Ferah requires a secure 6-foot wooden fence to ensure her safety and give her the space she needs to stretch her legs and roam freely. Come meet this gentle giant today and discover the boundless love and excitement that she has to offer. Apply to adopt Ferah at heberspringshumanesociety.com

Ferah’s adoption fee is $100.00 and includes first shots, worming, and sterilization. Optional microchipping and registration is available for an additional $20.00. Please fill out an adoption application and a volunteer will contact you. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply at heberspringshumanesociety.com website.

More about this shelter

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
