My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy
Short Hair Black & White Tuxedo Spayed Female
Estimated Birthdate: 8/28/2023
Special Needs: Blind

Meet adorable Poppy! She is outgoing, friendly, and extremely playful. She is fearless and has a huge personality. Poppy came to Tigerlily after she was found as a tiny kitten with severely infected eyes sitting in a driveway. She was taken for several vet visits to try and save her vision, but unfortunately her right eye was already gone and her left eye had to be surgically removed. Poppy may be blind, but that doesn't slow her down one bit! She loves to explore her surroundings with all of her other amazing senses. She loves toys that jingle and make sounds, along with catnip toys that she can smell. She has excellent litter box manners and is extremely food motivated. She gets along great with other cats and loves to wrestle and play. She would do best with another friendly, younger cat or kitten to play with. She can get overstimulated and will nibble hands, so older children that understand how to redirect her would be best. She would probably do well with a calmer dog after proper introductions.

Poppy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and treated for parasites. Her adoption fee is $125. Do you have room in your heart and home for this special girl?

Additional adoption info

* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old.
* If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed.
* We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family.
* For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best.
* If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time.
* We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child.

Our adoption fee of $100 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
