My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rico!

This big fellow is quite active and is often found exploring around his cage... but truthfully he may just be looking for his favorite thing... Snacks!

With people Rico is very friendly and likes being pet. However, Rico did live with two other smaller and younger male guinea pigs in the past, but he was not very friendly with them. Due to this, Rico will either need to go to a home as an only guinea pig, or somewhere with guinea pigs that are closer to him in size. If he goes to a home with other guinea pigs, there will need to be a very slow and gradual introduction for him to adjust correctly.

Additional adoption info

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
