My name is Elijah!

Hi there, I'm Elijah, a bright-eyed yellow lab mixed with a touch of mystery. At around 2 years old, I'm still discovering the world around me. My journey took a detour when I found myself running loose, but fate intervened when I was impounded on April 17, 2024. Those days on the run were tough, but I'll never forget the moment they lured me in with vienna sausages - a feast fit for a king, especially after a week of scrounging.

I'm grateful to say I'm up to date on my vaccines and even tested negative for heartworm. Phew! Currently tipping the scales at 41 lbs., I may not be the biggest pup, but I've got a heart of gold. I find solace in my kennel, especially when the staff members shower me with reassurance that brighter days are ahead.

While I haven't had the chance to strut my stuff in a temperament test just yet, mid-week promises an introduction to other dogs and cats. I'm ready to show everyone what a likable fellow I am - a true champ in the making. Who knows what adventures lie ahead, but with a wag in my tail and a spirit as resilient as mine, I'm sure to make some pawsitive impressions along the way.
