My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katie, a resilient and loving senior Pomeranian with a wild past. She escaped a dreary life in a breeding facility where she lived in a cage and had terrible food. Now, she's on the lookout for a new home and a little dental TLC to fix the past neglect. Despite her tough history, Katie is a pint-sized bundle of joy ready to bring cuddles and love to her forever family. Don't miss out on the change to  give this 'lil survivor the happy ending she deserves!

Personality & Characteristics:
My foster dog is good with: Katie is very submissive, she tends to take the backseat with her foster siblings in the home, and is an observant.  She has not been exposed to cats, but as her foster mama I feel confident that she would do well with them!  Since she is a bit timid, I would not recommend any small children at this time.  Older children that understand how to give an animal space, and that they are not a stuffed toy would be a good fit!
My foster dog is: Katie currently sleeps in her crate, and prefers to use pee pads.  She used to be very frozen and scared outside and now is instead scared of you going outside without her cause she loves walks so much! She does not have accidents in her crate, but if she is left to roam accidents are likely to happen here and there.
3 Keywords for your pup: Quiet, curious, loving
Energy Level: Katie is a very calm observer and has really come out of her shell to be your little shadow.  She loves meal time (will jump in her back legs to impress you), and if ya can capture her she will sit on your lap as ya'll enjoy a movie together.
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:  She will bark in the morning when she is ready to get up if her crate is closed and if another dog invades her space to ask them to leave :)
Walking Manners:  Her leash skills have greatly improved and she'll happily go on walks though stairs make her nervous sometimes. She also loves to chase leaves blowing in the wind! At 6lbs she happily will go along for a stroll in a bag to observe her surroundings too!
Appetite:  She loves meal time and is always looking for snackos!!
Does the following:  She can be timid with new people and due to needing dental work, we are working on brushing her teeth.
Favorite Things: People watching, snacking, cuddling, being carried around outside!
Commands/Tricks: Look'n like an adorable little muffin!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
