My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Abeille arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in January 2023 after being found wandering in Sainte-Eustache. Little Abeille was terrified. When she met the other cats at the shelter, this didn't improve as she froze in fear. So we had to move Abeille into a small condo just for her. Recently, we moved another cat into her condo and Abeille responded well. So she'd be better off in a house just for her, but could cohabit with a cat who isn't too invasive of her space. Abeille is still shy. She doesn't like to be petted, but can be stroked if you take the time to put her at ease. She does, however, love to play and eat! This is how we were able to socialize the beautiful Abeille. She eats out of our hand and we can pet her gently at the same time. She runs from one side of her condo to the other to catch the prey on the fishing rod. We know it won't be easy to find the right family for Abeille, but who knows! She won't be able to live with children. Abeille is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first month following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
