In January 2021, Rico who gave birth to her babies under the wall was rescued and came to Gimje Shelter. All of her babies went to fosters or adopters but the mommy dog Rico who used to attack her own back leg couldn’t stay at a foster home for a long time.😭
* Towards people: Rico is wary of people at first but once she learns that she has a caretaker, she starts building up affection and follows people with her sweetness.❤
*Towards Dogs: Rico has no problem with getting along with other doggy and kitty friends!😄
* Separation anxiety: unclear because she is currently staying at the center.
* Potty Training: She goes potty outdoor
* Walk: She has no problem going for a walk, however, she does not like to get far from the shelter. She prefers to go to the place where she has been before
* Carsickness: May get car sick when it is longer than 20 minutes drive
💌💌
*Rather than jumping around and playing with other doggy friends, she is one of the types who sits quietly and enjoys her moment.😀
*If Rico is stressed or gets excited, she spins her body in one spot or bites her back leg. Rico has improved previously and will not exhibit these behaviors in front of people but still does when she is alone. We are looking for a family who can patiently control and train her behavior in her home environment, preferring someone who stays at home for a long time!🙏🏻🙏🏻

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
