Meet the Pet
This helps The Rescue Crew with pet care costs.
Hello there! My name is Oakley and I am 15 lbs of fluff that you won’t be able to resist squeezing!
I live with 8 other dogs. Yep, you heard that right….8. And I love them ALL – bring on all the playtime! I’ve been around cats and they don’t interest me much. I even find chickens boring. They say I have a low prey drive, whatever that is. But I think it’s good?
My foster mom takes me for walkies and she says I have good leash manners. I really like it when she takes me for car rides. My ears flap in the wind and that makes me so happy!
I am mostly a pro at potty training, but occasionally I can’t make it outside and have an accident. I think I get distracted by playtime with all my doggo friends. But I promise I’m still working on it! I am kennel trained and will go in when I need to, but I was put in a kennel a lot in my previous life so I would much prefer to be out with my family. Do you need someone to snuggle with you at night? Because I will volunteer!
While Oakley is a very affectionate girl who loves to sit on your lap and be by your side, she does have a frisky side to her and can be high energy when it comes to playtime. Because Oakley derives so much joy from playtime with canine friends, it is strongly recommended she is placed in a home with another dog that can match her energy level. She is an overall happy dog, but she does appear to have a deep fear of men and therefore it is recommended that she be placed in a home with female companionship only. She has been small critter and child tested and has passed with flying colors.
