My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for not one, but two calm, quiet and friendly girls, Whimsy & her BFF Wren will be the perfect fit for you! Beautiful Wren, with soft and shiny black fur, is only one year old. And that soft and shiny fur? Wren loves having it brushed! These girls are learning how wonderful it is to live inside. Wren doesn’t mind being picked up and has now proved herself to be an absolute lap cat. As soon as you sit on the couch, she will cuddle beside you for snuggles. Whimsy is approximately three-years-old and will come to you when she wants attention. Not quite a lap cat, she’s a “beside” you cat, who loves pets and head rubs! Whimsy also loves to be brushed and will push Wren out of the way the brush comes out. Whimsy & Wren enjoy sleeping and relaxing in their tower cubby or cardboard house, so they hope to have both in her new home. Wren & Whimsy are still learning how to play and would love for you to continue to show them the wonders of play. Wren plays with balls at night, while Whimsy loves to wrestle with her catnip toys. They will probably love wand toys or a tunnel and a laser light. Everyone loves the laser light! They are good eaters and not fussy about food, preferring wet over dry. And of course, don't forget the treats. Temptations are their favourite! Wren and Whimsy are the best of friends, who are good with kids. They are bonded and MUST be adopted together.

Whimsy & Wren came to us after they showed up at a managed colony one day. Whimsy was pregnant and gave birth to her last litter, but sadly, she was not interested in being a mom and her kittens have since moved on to be bottle-fed. Wren was her constant companion and support throughout her journey. It is possible that Wren is Whimsy’s daughter, but we’ll never know for sure.

Whimsy & Wren are an incredibly sweet and friendly pair looking for their forever home where they can continue to learn how to play and where they can continue their new lives together.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
