My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Belle, a kitten with an independent spirit. She's a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, her sweet and friendly nature shines through. Belle is a gentle soul, preferring quiet moments and soft pets over boisterous play. She's not a fan of being picked up, but don't let that deter you. Her brother, Adam, is her closest companion, and their bond is a joy to witness. Belle's independent streak is balanced by her gentle, friendly demeanour. She might need a little time to come out of her shell, but once she does, you'll have a loyal and loving friend for life. Belle is looking for a home where she can grow, explore, and continue to build her confidence. She'll thrive in a home that respects her boundaries and cherishes her gentle soul. Adopt Belle and discover the unique joy of a feline friendship that grows stronger every day.

More about this shelter

The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
