But don't let his love for independence fool you—Toby is also a loyal and devoted companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. Toby will need to be in a home with a fenced yard.

The first step in our adoption process is submitting an application through our website. Simply visit: https://www.hoovesandpaws.org/shelterluv.html, click on the pet’s photo to view their full bio, then click “Apply for Adoption” to get started.

Please give us a few days to review your application. If approved, you’ll receive an email from adoptions@hoovesandpaws.org to schedule a meet and greet (including any necessary dog-to-dog introductions).

If the meet and greet goes well and you’d like to move forward, we’ll schedule a home check—this means we’ll bring your new furry friend to your home ourselves. This helps ensure a smooth transition and gives your new pup a familiar face upon arrival. We’ll finalize the adoption at that time!
