My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pip!

He's a wonderful, energetic young boy who's looking for a great forever home with active adopters.

His people have become overwhelmed with family circumstances, and in Pip's best interests they've made the hard decision to find him a new home.

He's a high-energy pup who can bring a lot of fun into your life. He's a 2-year-old Lab/Cattle Dog mix, weighs 62 lbs., is neutered and up to date on his doggie shots.

Pip is good with kids (preferably 10 years old or older), he's crate-trained and house-trained.

He just needs a structured, calm home and adopter(s) who can take him on hikes and adventures; who can give him the attention and love he deserves.

A bonus would be another friendly dog in the home for him to romp around with and burn off energy. Pip is a sweet boy!!

His people have offered to cover the cost of one required dog training session with Pip's current qualified trainer, to make sure he's set up for success in a new household.

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Pip, send us an email at summitdogrescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Additional adoption info

First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.

We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!

Adoption application
