Hi! I'm new around here!

Lucy has recently come into our care. While we don't have all the details just yet, we couldn't wait to share their cuteness with you!

Lucy has been diagnosed with FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) that causes a weakened immune system. Lucy is not contagious to humans! She can live with other FIV+ cats, as a single cat, or with other social cats. Lucy is expected to live a perfectly happy life, and has so much love to give!

Staff and volunteers are working diligently to gather more information about their personality. As soon as we have more details, we'll update this bio to provide you with a more comprehensive profile.

Meet the Pet

Visit the shelter during regular business hours. If the pet is listed as "in foster", please contact the foster at the email provided.

2.
Submit Application

If you would like to adopt after meeting the animal, the foster or staff member will give you a link to an online application.

3.
Approve Application

One of our adoptions counselors will contact you to go over the pet’s medical history, personality information, and answer any questions.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Finalize adoption paperwork & pay adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Schedule a time to pick up the pet at the shelter.

Founded in 1944, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington provides animal adoption and community programs to the Northern Virginia and D.C. metropolitan area, as well as animal rescue and control services within Arlington County.
