Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tootsie Roll | Spayed Female | 1 Year old | 40 Pounds | Northern Mix Breed | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: 8+
Tootsie Roll came to us in mid January along with her sister from a remote fly-in-only community in Northern Ontario. The two of them were very pregnant and gave birth to their puppies a week after making the long trek down to Southern Ontario.
Tootsies babies have all moved on and she is now ready to find her perfect family!
Tootsie is a laid back girl that enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster family and would probably benefit from having a confident stable dog in the household.
She is also being fostered with cats which she is good with most of the time, though sometimes will give a little chase now and then. She would be fine with a dog savvy cat.
Tootsie Roll is a bit shy and unsure initially until she warms up to you. We don’t know what she experienced in the North, but her reactions to humans at times make it seem she was abused. She has been learning to trust people again and will be your absolute best friend once she trusts you. She is very food motivated which will help!
We have not really seen Tootsie around kids so we are not sure how she is. We are recommending older kids that know to respect her space simply because she is a little unsure of people in general. And loud rambunctious toddlers can be a lot!
This girl is very affectionate and would enjoy to just spend her days snuggled up next to you while you pet her, and she will gently nudge you to keep going if you stop!
Tootsie Roll has so much love to give and she just needs that right home for her to give it - she's all in.
Tootsie Roll is spayed and current on vaccinations. She is located in Woodstock, ON.
