My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meril is a big boy with even bigger opinions, and most of them involve snacks.
This water-loving goofball is all about fun, food, and flaunting his smarts. He’s mastered the classics like sit, down, touch, and paw, and he’s not above showing off his skills if there’s a treat involved. Honestly, he’s the kind of dog who would probably learn how to do your taxes if you paid him in cheese.
When he’s not working on his latest trick or lobbying for second breakfast, Meril loves cooling off in the kiddie pool, chasing toys, and being the center of attention. He’s got a lot of love to give, and a lot of personality to go with it.
Meril is looking for a home that appreciates a hefty dose of enthusiasm, a strong splash zone radius, and a dog who treats snack time like a competitive sport. If that sounds like your vibe, come meet Meril at the Fredericksburg SPCA!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.

Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.
