My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Little Girl, a 14-year-old dilute tortoiseshell with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to slow down, despite being in the early stages of kidney disease. I wear my years like a badge of honor, carrying a distinguished attitude and an enduring zest for life. My favorite pastime? Perching in high places where I can survey my kingdom and keep a watchful eye on my domain. After all, a queen must oversee her court!

While I do enjoy the company of other cats, I make it known that I prefer to reign as the queen of the roost. My hospice status doesn't dampen my spirits or my need for adventure; instead, it makes every gentle pat and quiet moment in a warm lap all the more precious. If you're looking for a regal companion who embodies grace and wisdom, I'm ready to spend my golden days surrounded by love and serene views from the top. Let's cherish every moment together!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Fees vary with special adoption events, but our standard adoption fee for an individual adult cat, between the ages of 6 months to 7 years, is $75. An adoption interest form/application and contract must be filled out by all adopters.
No adoptions are approved without visiting the shelter in person. Interest or application for adoption is not a guarantee. Volunteers attempt to match cats with an appropriate home setting/family, and adoptions are not first come, first serve.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, almost all of our adoptable animals are in foster homes. In most cases it is not possible to visit cats in the shelter.
