My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Brodie is a sweet mixed breed pup who is looking for a home! Brodie was found in Louisiana after being hit by a car. Animal control has no budget for vetting these dogs, so Brodie would have been euthanized if our partner rescue, Haseya's New Beginning Animal Rescue, did not take her in and rush her right to the vet. Some local dog lovers and WOI Rescue joined together to donate so Brodie could have her surgery asap. Brodie lost her right front leg and sadly, suffered a hip injury on her left side as well, which was mended with an FHO surgery.

Brodie is currently in a NJ foster home where she is  healing so nicely!   Brodie is so much more comfortable now, and she is starting to come out of her shell. Brodie likes other dogs, and at this age, she should do well with kids or cats.

Brodie is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She hasn't been fixed yet, but she will be when she is about 6 months old. Wag On Inn will cover this cost, but adopters must be within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Our sweet, special Brodie's adoption fee is $550.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
