Meet Sweetheart! She is true to her name- a total sweetheart! She wants nothing more than to curl up with you and get as many pets as possible. She does well on a leash and also has a playful side to her! After spending some time at ACS, Sweetheart was one of 40 dogs that were picked up by a rescue group. They were then all brought to a boarding facility, where they were abandoned by said rescue group. Confused about why she's bouncing around from place to place, Sweetheart has still remained happy and kind to everyone she meets. This pretty girl deserves to find a permanent forever home where she will receive as much love as she gives ?? Thanks Sara Winder Photography for some amazing photos of this sweet girl! Sweetheart is a Shepherd mix, weighs 64 pounds, and was born on 4/4/2022. She is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Sweetheart must be an indoor dog, meaning she sleeps in the home setting and does not live outside. If you are interested in adopting Sweetheart, please email bahshelter@yahoo.com. The Bulverde Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1983 by Dolores Caldwell, BAHS is a no-kill shelter caring for up to 400 dogs and cats annually. The shelter resides on 3.25 acres of park-like land and houses indoor/outdoor kennels, a cattery, nursery/medical recovery building, agility fields, and fenced-in play yards.
BAHS is powered by volunteers and overseen by a Board of Directors. Our volunteers ensure the dogs and cats get plenty of exercise, playtime, and unlimited cuddles, love, and affection.
