Hi there, I’m a 2-year-old, 60 lb Pitbull named Edith and I had just finished nursing a litter of puppies when I was driven out to the sticks and dumped on a very rural road. I guess I was no longer needed and my owners were jerks, but one man's trash is another man's treasure and in this case, it was a lady who pulled up in her car, and opened the door, I jumped right in, and now I live with her. I’ve now been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, I’m healthy and friendly and 4 Little Paws Rescue is helping me find a forever home somewhere in or near Connecticut! Yep, I’m available for adoption!! Right now!! Today!! Everybody calm down and take turns applying for me cuz I’m a catch!!
I am a big ol’ sweetheart, happy, friendly, always wagging and if you don't mind 60 lbs in your lap, then I’m a lap dog, LOL. I make friends easily with everyone, kids, dogs, and strangers included. I am calm and quiet and enjoy lounging around on a pretty day watching the birds and the deer go by, only giving out a happy bark when I see my foster mom approaching. I know how to sit on command and sit for treats and I’m well-behaved. No digging or chewing or guarding my food, or separation anxiety, or any of the quirks some rescue dogs end up with. I’m just affectionate, sweet, loving, and kissy, and grateful to have someone to love who loves me in return. I love going for walks and rides in the car which works out great because I’ll be riding on board a transport van for a day and a half when I leave Texas next week to meet the lucky people who adopt me!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
