My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Mickey! This 6-month-old puppy, discovered as a stray alongside his sister Minnie, is the wiggliest little pup you'll ever meet! With whole-body tail wags that never stop, Mickey's enthusiasm is infectious. He's a bit submissive but craves love and affection from people more than anything. Despite a rough start, Mickey is ready for the best forever home-one that will shower him with the time and love he truly deserves. Could you be the one to give Mickey the happily ever after he's been waiting for?

Mickey is currently eligible for rescue, foster and adoption. Head to ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him!

Behavioral:
Per Volunteer on 4/21/24: Mickey is the wiggliest puppy, with whole booty tail wags. He is a little on the submissive side and will pancake if you bring your arm or make sudden movements. But he enjoyed snuggling and getting pets and was really the sweetest puppy. He is very treat motivated and a bit snatchy, but did get better the more treats I gave him. He didn't seem to want to play with toys, he just wanted attention. He did happily greeted two dogs through the fence (see videos). It doesn't seem like he has had the best life so far, so he just needs a committed family to work on his puppy tendencies and also show him the good life from here on out.

Per staff on 4/21/24:
Mickey was very wiggly and submissive in the room. He would army crawl from handler to handler and lean in for pets and solicit attention often. He was very gentle in the room and social with all handlers. Playful and very gentle
