Angel will melt your heart as soon as you look into her sweet eyes. Angel is a 2 yr. old Creme Golden Retriever, who came to us from a commercial breeder after she was not needed anymore. Angel has made leaps & bounds since coming to her foster home. Before coming into foster, she had never been in a home and was very hesitant to even come into her foster home. She used to cower and pancake to the ground when anyone would approach her. Now she craves attention and will give you her paw if you stop petting her before she has had enough.
Angel enjoys playing with her foster dog sisters and would do best in a home with another dog to show her the ropes and help her to continue to gain her confidence, She would also do best with a fenced in yard as she has not yet gained her confidence on a leash. She loves kids and would welcome any extra attention she can get. She is also doing very well with her potty training and rarely has any accidents. (regression is common once in a new environment).
Angel is a very laid back and gentle girl, who wants nothing more than to be next to her person snuggling on the couch. Overall she is just such a sweet Angel and is waiting patiently for her perfect family. She will need a patient family that is able to work with her and reassure her that she is safe and loved.
Angel is being fostered in Reading and a meet and greet with all family members and resident dogs is required. No cats for this girl.
Angel is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
If Angel sounds like she would be a perfect dog to add to your family, please apply on our website. We do not receive any applications from third party sites.

Who We Are:
Zoe's House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare group based out of Sinking Spring,PA. We are comprised solely of volunteers that generously volunteer their time, their homes and their hearts. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected or abandoned animals from high kill shelters or from owners who can no longer care for them. We provide the animals with loving foster care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation until we are able to pair them with compatible and loving forever homes. At times we also offer permanent sanctuary to those with special or medical needs and that are considered unadoptable.
Zoe's House serves as a resource to our community and to our adopters by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay/neuter, behavior training, nutrition, puppy mill awareness, heartworm preventative and breed education. Our organization also networks with other shelters and rescues. We try to assist other organizations when possible.
Zoe’s House is not federally funded, and relies solely on donations to continue to rescue. Although we are not breed specific, the need to save Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pitbulls is ever growing; therefore, we have focused primarily on saving the lives of our beloved and majestic strong breeds.
What We do:
There are many people involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of each dog we take in. Our rescue effort starts with the initial intake request for a dog. Whether this be at a shelter of from an individual in the community, we try to gather as much information as we can. We then pickup or transport the dog to safety in rescue. At this time we administer immediate veterinary care to determine the health of the dog and ensure the animal has proper immunizations. We also have bloodwork done for a heartworm check, lyme, fecal and sometimes a blood panel depending on the age and health of the dog. The dog remains in "in-home" foster care and becomes a part of the fosters family for an undefined period of time. We evaluate the dog and work on basic manners and obedience. At times we have dogs for a longer duration due to health and/or age. The dogs in our care come with us to adoption events, home screenings, and ultimately permanent placement. Zoe's House then provides post-adoption follow-up and support and welcomes the new family to the "Zoe's House Family!" We strive to stay in close contact with all of our adopters to ensure the transition and life long relationship continues to be magical. We remain dedicated to the principal that we never want one of our rescues to end up in a shelter or in a home that does not provide a responsible and loving environment for the life of the animal.
We truly believe that one dog at a time... we are making a difference!
