Hey there, I'm Peanut! I am a special fluffy cat looking for a loving family. Before we get too far, there’s something I need to share. I have a condition known as "wobbly cat syndrome" (cerebellar hypoplasia). My case is mild and doesn't require special medical treatment. I can get around just fine, but I can lose my balance when I get overly excited or stressed. When you give me head scratches, expect me to do a few somersaults! I used to have trouble jumping and climbing stairs, but my foster parents helped me gain confidence in my ability to get around on my own. I can still get a little disoriented and lost, so if you have a large house, it may take me a while to memorize where the litter box is located. I have really good litter box manners once I know where to go!
I love other cats! In fact, I get really lonely by myself, so I want to find a family with another cat or two. I would love a buddy who’s not too territorial, so we can share our favorite toys and chase each other around the house! It takes me a while to trust people, so let's take it slow at first. I actually prefer to be around others, so please don't interpret my shyness as being unfriendly. Once I know you're a kind person, I will want to talk with you and follow you around the house. So that's me! I want to find a loving family that sees my wobbles as part of my unique charm. Will you be my forever home?
Because all of our kitties are in foster homes we do visitations with our cats with pre-approved adoption applications. We place our kittens and cats in homes with the best fit based on personality, age, and location.
