My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wolverine, a 9-month-old gray and white cutie ready for his closeup!

This little dude (a mere 7 lbs) has rear paralysis/incontinence but that does NOT slow him down! He wears diapers and does require bladder expression 3-4 times a day but his current foster is perfectly happy to teach any potential adopter how to do it. She learned on her own pretty quickly and says it’s quite easy!

His guardian angel has been caring for him since he was roughly 10 days old and he’s absolutely wonderful because of it. He’s good with cats, kids, and dogs!

Wolverine is the perfect little gentlemen. He’s a super chill cat and likes everything and everyone. He likes to sunbathe by the window, follow his people around, and likes to watch tv and snuggle with his people. He’s a curious guy and will watch everything around him/get right up in your business. In a good way, of course! :)

He enjoys car rides with his foster mama and he likes to watch her dog and steal his bed. Lol. He also plays well with other cats and respects their space.

Wolverine is very affectionate and sweet. He likes to be held and cuddled like a baby. He has an easy going personality and he loves toys and to chase the kids around when they seek him out.

He shows affection with head butts, loud purrs, and an eagerness to follow his people around and snuggle. He really enjoys being carried!

Favorite toys: Balls, string, feather toys, socks.

Silly habits: Chases the kids around in his current foster home and will pounce and play with them. And, he really likes to carry socks around.

Favorite treat: Pieces of chicken.

Bonus: Wolverine is pretty talkative. He likes to chirp and lets you know when he wants something. Meow!

Wolverine is adaptable to any situation and will make a lovely addition to just about any home!

Additional adoption info

All of us at Jake's Place are committed to helping you find the right cat or kitten for your family situation. You can download our application and contract here on the website. We have our cats and kittens listed with a little biography of each, as well as many photos and a video of each. Feel free to call and ask questions about any of our cats. We would also love to meet you at any of our adoption events or possibly we can arrange a visit with the foster family. Our adoption fee is: $110 for a cat or kitten; $150 for a pair; $80 for a senior (8+yrs). This fee helps us to pay for testing (FIV/Leukemia), vaccines, parasite treatment, spay/neuter & microchipping, as well as anything else the cats might need while in our care. Seniors may need blood work or a dental care. More about this rescue

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
