My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Mallory! I'm just a pup on a mission to find my place in this big ol' world. I need a FOSTER or an ADOPTER to make it to Wisconsin on 4/27, can you help me?

At 5 months old, I'm still a youngin', but I've already got a heart as big as a field of flowers. I'm sweet, submissive, and oh-so-gentle, just waiting for the right family to come scoop me up and make me their own. You see, life here in the Georgia shelter is alright, but it's just not where I belong. I've got dreams of cuddles on the couch and adventures in the great outdoors.

I'm not picky about my pals either—I get along just great with other dogs and kids. And those curious kitties? Well, let's just say I'm curious about them too, but I know how to give them their space and be respectful. After all, every critter deserves a little kindness, right? I’m sure I could quickly learn to love a kitty sibling!

But here's the thing, folks: the shelter's bursting at the seams, and I'm ready to spread my wings and fly all the way to "Homeward Bound" in Wisconsin. I've heard it's the place where dreams come true, where pups like me find their happily ever after.

So, if you’ve been waiting for a furry friend to love and cherish, one who'll be by your side through thick and thin, with the softest fur to snuggle in- let Homeward Bound know that you can offer me a safe place to stay while I find my forever family in Wisconsin!

FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.

For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.

To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

More about this rescue

In 2024, Homeward Bound Animal Rescue of WI emerged from the compassionate efforts of two dedicated women, both seasoned veterans in the world of rescue.

Our mission is clear: to prevent animal cruelty and neglect through foster-based rescue and rehoming initiatives. We strive to support both animals and their owners by fostering a sense of community and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Together, we lend our hand in the name of rescue, ensuring every animal receives the love, care, and support they deserve.
