Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there, pals! I'm Mary Kate, the hound with a heart as big as my floppy ears! At 1.5 years young and tipping the scales at a svelte 53 pounds, I'm ready to bring some southern charm to the Midwest. Yep, you heard it right – I'm a confident lady who's on a mission to find her forever family.
Now, let's talk about my social scene. I'm all about making friends, especially with my fellow canines. Cats, on the other hand, not really my cup of tea. But hey, who needs 'em when there are so many doggie pals to play with?
You might notice that I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to confidence, but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, right? With a little patience and a whole lot of love, I know I'll blossom into the best doggie companion you could ask for.
Currently kicking back in Georgia, but dreaming of cheese and cuddles in Wisconsin, I'm ready to pack my bags and hit the road to find my forever home. So, if you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a face and ears like a Bassett hound and a heart of gold, look no further. Mary Kate's here to steal your heart and become the newest member of your family!
FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.
For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.
To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
