My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Petunia, the pint-sized bundle of joy as sweet as her name implies. This delightful Chihuahua mix is approximately 2 years young and weighing in at a dainty 10-12 pounds. Petunia is a pro at spreading joy wherever she goes, and is ready to come home to be your family's faithful companion.

Hailing from the scenic hills of Kentucky, sweet Petunia's journey to her forever home has been nothing short of an adventure. Found trotting down the road all on her lonesome, she captured the hearts of her rescuers with her endearing demeanor and wagging tail. With a quick swoop, Petunia was whisked away to safety, leaving behind her days of solo expeditions in hopes of a new life filled with love.

Despite her petite stature, Petunia is a social butterfly who gets along famously with her fellow furry friends. She's been sharing her temporary digs with another small dog, and with her gentle nature and kind spirit, she's sure to win over the hearts of other dogs, cats and kids alike. Petunia been spayed and is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines as well, making her the perfect pup for just about anyone.

If you're in need of a little sunshine in your life, look no further than sweet Petunia. Apply for adoption on www.peace4paws.org from your computer or laptop.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
