My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pearl, your soon-to-be loyal and affectionate companion! At just six months old, I'm a charming 18-pound black lab mix here in NJ eagerly awaiting meeting you.

My early days were a bit rough, as I was discovered alongside my four siblings, all alone and in need of love and care. Thankfully, we were rescued and have been receiving heaps of love ever since.

I'm a bright and eager learner, ready to tackle all the joys and challenges of puppyhood by your side. From mastering housebreaking to learning new tricks, I'm excited to grow and thrive with the guidance of a patient and loving family. Plus, being so young, I'm open to forming bonds with children, other dogs, and even cats!

Rest assured, I'm up to date on all my age-appropriate vaccines, setting me off on the right paw towards a healthy future. However, as my new family, you'll be responsible for completing my remaining vaccinations and ensuring I'm spayed at the appropriate time.

If you're ready to welcome Pearl into your heart and home, take the first step by applying for adoption at www.peace4paws.org. Please note that applications must be submitted via laptop or computer. I can't wait to meet you and become your cuddly companion for life!

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
