My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nala, a sweet and affectionate 7-year-old, 80lb (has some to lose!), spayed female dog looking to light up your life. Nala is ready for a forever family after being surrendered due to allergies and then a resident dog never warming up to her.

In her previous home, Nala lived with one adult and three children, ages 2 to 10. She proved to be a wonderful companion to the kids, being relaxed, respectful, and tolerant towards them. This friendly and outgoing pup also had a great rapport with visitors and strangers who came to the home. Nala has been around dogs of all types and is known for being easygoing, playful, and happy in their company.

Being a low-energy dog, Nala enjoys her relaxing moments and will make a perfect companion for those seeking a calmer and more laid-back furry friend. In her spare time, she enjoys visits to the park, where she can hang out and enjoy the surroundings. Her favorite toy is a tennis ball, enjoying a good game of fetch.   and is accustomed to spending time in a crate with the door open.

She is loving life with her foster family and enjoying all the belly rubs she can grab.  They were shocked to learn that she loves swimming and car rides.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
