My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Juicebox and Poundcake, charming two-year-old Chihuahua sisters weighing about 11 pounds each. They found themselves surrendered due to financial reasons and have shown remarkable resilience. Initially shy and nervous, Juicebox and Poundcake quickly warm up to affection and are incredibly sweet and loving pups.

Poundcake, the more confident of the two, often sets the tone for her sister. When Poundcake approves of someone, Juicebox quickly and lovingly follows suit. Juicebox, the smaller of the two, tends to shadow Poundcake closely.

Both Juicebox and Poundcake are cat, and dog-friendly, having lived peacefully with cats in their previous home. Despite moments of nervousness, showcasing their gentle nature.

Juicebox and Poundcake are up to date on all their vaccines, with plans for spaying in progress. If you're prepared to open your heart and home to these bonded sisters, be ready to earn their trust and witness their transformation into loving companions.

Take the first step by applying for adoption at www.peace4paws.org. Please note that applications must be submitted via laptop or computer. Juicebox and Poundcake can't wait to meet you and become your cuddly companions for life!

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
