Spanky is a 5-year-old, 39lb Australian Shephard and bird dog mix.
Spanky loves attention and affection! He would love someone who would give him all the treats and belly rubs. He does well with the other foster dogs and will be submissive during play but should be kept separate during feeding time. We are covering the cost and treating Spanky for heartworm, but that doesn't slow him down, so he'll need to be in a yard that has a fence. He's completely housebroken and does great being left alone without a crate but could still use some practice on a leash. He's a very sweet boy who is looking for his forever home! If you think Spanky might be a good fit for you, please submit an application to http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!
