My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It’s a hard knock life ….not for me anymore! Growing up on the streets is hard and I’m purring proof of that. My outward appearance comes across as gruff and leader-of-the-local-colony but a 2nd glance and 3rd hard, long look will have my inner kitten shining! I’m described as a gentle FIV+ giant and I love nothing more than lounging in any lap and getting petted and brushed and sometimes all three at the same time. If I think you are slacking at any of the above, my gentle reminder comes in the form of a love nip followed by a head butt to remind you of your duties. I am not a fan of sharing my purrson with other felines and am super content being the center of your world. If you are looking for a diamond in the ruff, then look no further than Leonard!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
