This beautiful little boy was born approx dec 1st 2023,
He weighs approx 49 lbs,
He is a Labrador retriever/boxer mix,
He has just completed a board and train program, for leash and obedience training and his trainer is now fostering him and continuing his training , his trainer says he is great on a leash, loves playing with the other dogs, is a little nervous around humans but is starting to warm up more, he is house trained and is off leash capable. He is going to be great with someone who hikes or runs, his trainer takes him on a 2 hour hike daily along with other dogs at his ranch., he needs a home with a fully fenced in yard and secure yard and an active owner.
THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS,
OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only.
The total adoption fee of $300 ( and includes , the interstate health cert and transport to the north east ,spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at

We require all adopters to fill out an initial application so that we can check references. We try to match our dogs with a family that fits the needs and individuality of our homeless pets. We work tirelessly to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime. We do this through email, phone, and any other means of communication to ensure a good fit.
