Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I'm Rae, the Australian Shepherd mix with a one-of-a-kind coat and a typical puppy personality. I need some help, you see. I am trying to catch a ride to Wisconsin (from Georgia) on 4/26, but i need a FOSTER or an ADOPTER to make the trip. Can you help me?
Before you say "yes," I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself! I'm bursting with love and am ready to embark a journey to find my forever family. The shelter isn't quite the right place for a lively pup like me to grow up, so I'm hoping to find a loving FOSTER or ADOPTER who can show me the ropes of puppyhood while giving me plenty of love and care. With my wagging tail and eager spirit, I'm determined to find my way "Homeward Bound" to a place where I'll be cherished and adored. Are you ready to welcome me into your heart and home? Let's start this adventure together!
Love, Rae
FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.
For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.
To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

As a foster-based rescue organization, we do not have a central boarding facility for our animals. If you are interested in meeting one of our available animals, we highly encourage you to submit an adoption application. Once approved, you will be able to meet our animals.
