My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baguette
Bonjour. Oui, my name is Baguette, which is French, you know. However, I was born in Indiana. I am a 1-year-old male cat transferred to HSHC from another shelter. I arrived with a wound on my tail, which has healed nicely. I am staying at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC) and am pleased to be surrounded by comfy beds, windows, and pleasant cats. I was happy to meet the interviewer lady (IL) today and greeted her immediately. She pointed out that I resembled a businessman in a grey pinstriped suit. After all, I have impeccable manners and an outgoing, friendly personality. I welcomed her petting me and sat quietly beside her to encourage her continued attention. I have an attractive physique with long legs and four white feet. I pride myself on my calm, positive attitude, and pet professionalism, and I look forward to finding a permanent home with a person or persons who appreciate these qualities. The IL was quite taken with me and kissed me in farewell. I look forward to meeting my potential family! 5-13-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
