My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Tubs recently went on a Weekend Getaway and here's what his foster caregiver has to say!

"Hi!
My name is Mr. TubTubs aka Tubby Wubby Puddin Pie!

Here's a little about me...

I am a cubby wubby spunky 9 year old Terrier Pitbull who loves toys, treats, naps, belly rubs, tv and cuddles.
I am HeartWorm negative and I a healthy boy. I just a little on the cubby side but that's just more of me to love! I am a house hippo and love to curl up with you on the couch for snuggle time and I promise I won't potty in the house cause I'm a smart boy and I go potty outside! I will sleep in a crate and I will be a good boy. I love kids and I take treats very carefully. I love all the attention they will give me. I will sit or lay down when asked to do so.
I recently got to have a sleep over at my doggy day out friends house and here's what she had to say about me!!

Tub Tubs is such a good boy!

Upon arrival at the shelter Tubs was very eager to get out of his kennel but was so gentle and very easy to leash and harness. This Ole boy was ready for an adventure and waddled his way to the car with stride. Tubs gladly climbed his way into the floor board and then up into the back seat as him little chubby self couldn't quite jump up there yet but we're working on it.

Tubs LOVES to ride! He loves to watch the cars go by and sniff all the smells in the air. No promises that you will get to use your arm rest if you let him ride in the front because he likes to sit like a human in the front seat and hog the arm rest. He will gladly ride in the back seat and watch all the cars go by.

When we got home me and Tubs were hanging out while I worked in my home office and he was such a great co worker. The only time you will hear out of him is when he starts snoring from being in a nice deep sleep. He would occasionally come and check on me and plop his head down in my lap for some pets and then lay down on his bed next to my office chair. He was a great work from home companion.

After work we decided him big stinky self needed a bath. Tubs was AMAZING in the bathtub! *Granted you might need a fork lift (or steps) to get him in the tub.* Tubby wubby puddin pie was the EASIEST dog I have EVER given a bath to. He was so calm and never bothered to try to jump out or move away. He just stood there enjoying the water and scrubs and would lay his head on our arms while we scrubbed his booty clean. He does not mind his feet or tail being washed or touched.

After his bath we got jammies on and cuddled on the couch and watched Clifford The Big Red Dog. Tubs is a big fan of the TV and he watched almost the entire movie before he started snoozing on my leg. Tubs would love someone he could binge watch TV with before bed time. *FUN FACT* TUBS SLEEPS WITH HIS TONGUE OUT

Tubs also does enjoy a good play session and loves to squeeze squeaky toys and follow them around as he kicks them around. He will flop over for belly rubs and likes to play hide and seek with toys. Tubs is also great with children and was soaking up every once of attention my 5 year old was offering. He will take treats very gentle and doesn't jump up or knock little persons over with his thickums self.

At bedtime Tubs willingly got into his crate and didn't bother to argue or put up a fight. He laid down settled in and went right to bed. This dude could sleep soundly on a rock but I'm sure would prefer a nice comfy bed!

I couldn't sleep so I woke up early hours of the morning and got Mr Tubtubs out of the kennel and got him on the couch with me and we both fell back asleep. Tubs makes a great pillow by the way.
Tubs is such an easy going character and will go with the flow. He doesn't chew or try to steal things. He's a very good guest.

The entire time Mr Tubs was with us he never had an accident and when he needed to go potty would stand by the door and stare us down until we got up to go and he went potty outside every time.

Mr. Tubs is an amazing well trained dog who would like to spend the rest of his life with an amazing family who will love him, cuddle him, give him all the head pets and let him watch TV with you."

As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
