Abe Weisman was found early this spring by one of our volunteers. Like we always do with a found cat, we scanned Abe for a chip and he had one! Once we go tin touch with his family, we learned they had moved away and had given Abe to a friend, who they were no longer in touch with. Poor Abe! We will never know how he ended up on the streets, but we bet he has a good story to tell.
Abe is a very social and friendly cat. It's obvious he was once loved by his family, since he soaks up attention and affection. He really enjoys being at home with his foster family - getting pets is his favorite thing. He's so sweet and undemanding - just a perfect companion!
Abe can live with other cats and with kids, so we know he's going to make an excellent friend for his lucky adopter.
Abe Weisman is around 7 years old and he is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. He is affectionate, cuddly, curious, friendly, and playful.

* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
