Cassandra (Cassie as I call her) is the sweetest and most stunning dog I have fostered – her beautiful caramel eyes and unique spotting and color are mesmerizing, and she has a calm and cerebral energy in the house – you wouldn’t know she’s just 7 months old. Cassie is really a big baby and a mush, especially when sleepy – she loves to snuggle up with her human or on her bed and stretch out and snooze the afternoon away. When she’s up and about, Cassie likes to entertain herself with her toys and chews / bones. She is a calm puppy and doesn’t get into much trouble – she’s able to be left alone for several hours at a time and doesn’t destruct anything. If Cassie is feeling curious or mischievous she is very responsive to being told to “leave it” and will listen accordingly – a very good girl who wants to please her human.
As Cassie is a young dog and came from the country, she is understandably hesitant about the loud city sounds such as sirens and speeding buses and will shake a bit and freeze. We are slowly desensitizing her to the city, and she is making progress every day. With some love, encouragement, and time she will become adjusted to the city life! She also would thrive in a quieter area such as the suburbs or a house with a yard!
Cassie is very food motivated and we have mastered sit, come, and leave it. We are currently working on shake – she is an obedient dog and very teachable. She currently is fully house trained!
Cassie has the most sweet, sensitive, and special soul and she captures anybody who meets her with her angelic nature. Cassie is slightly hesitant when she first meets someone but quickly warms up to them, especially if treats are involved. She also is very friendly with other dogs and plays nicely with them, also showing no reactivity on leash when passing dogs. It's recently been discovered that Cassie loves cats and would do great with a feline friend!
Cassie would make the best pet and with a patient and loving home I know she will continue to blossom! Everyone that meets her falls in love - scoop her up today!
